We are committed to building a forward-thinking program that retains continuity and consistency for the future growth of CPHS Soccer. To effectively reach this end, we have addressed three major points: 1. Consistent goals from year to year 2. Participation of parents and players 3. Communication OUR PLAN: Consistent goals from year-to-year - We have developed a clear mission statement that highlights our goals for the Booster Club. We feel in order to maintain consistency from year to year we need to adopt an organizational and leadership style that retains leadership positions for up to three years. We propose the formation of a Board of Directors. This board will consist of the Coach, a School Representative, an RSC/Kickers Representative, a CDAA/BPAA Representative and a Community Leader/Business Leader. All interested parties will have a desire to see CPHS Boys Soccer grow. This defining group of people will assist the parents in identifying and maintaining consistent objectives. Participation by parents and players - We recognize that parents and players are busy, wet must stress the importance of participation. Participation is the backbone of a volunteer-run organization. It is our goal to simplify participation and make it enjoyable. Many parents hesitate to volunteer until team selection is finalized in August. Fundraising responsibility has been broken down by teams in the past making it uncertain to parents which fundraisers to volunteer for. Participation in all fundraisers and events is encouraged for every player. The organizational aspect of fundraising/events is determined by your class. Participation in fundraisers is not mandatory but does have significant benefits. For more information, please read the article regarding fundraising. Communication - Communication is key to the success of any team or organization. We have created a new and user friendly web site to aid in our communication and also as an advertising tool to attract local businesses for sponsorship. This newsletter will be published three times annually. Our ultimate goal and hope is that the members of the Booster Club will feel they have enriched the lives of themselves and their players by participating in the CPHS Boys Soccer program. Please read our mission statement and become involved in this exciting time of growth and development! MISSION STATEMENT: Who are the Boosters? The Champlin Park Boys Soccer Boosters are comprised of parents and other community members who have an interest in improving and assisting the Champlin Park Boys Soccer Program. As a Booster Club, we will support and foster the development of the whole person devoted to the pursuit of a common good that globally transcends the interests of a broader community. As a competitive high school program and a major source of pride for the community and school, we must strive to win with honor and integrity. Soccer opportunities are vehicles to heightening the personal development of our players, and when complemented with intense campus involvement, enrich both the community and the student themselves. GOALS: • The Booster Club will financially support the Champlin Park Boys Soccer Program. • Promote the development of players to achieve a high academic and strong leadership capability, a concern for others, self-discipline, teamwork, and excellence in soccer performance in every student-athlete soccer player. • Provide the entire soccer program - students, players, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, and friends with a common bond and source of community pride. • Generate positive visibility in the public media and apply this visibility as a means of communicating the Rebel vision, mission, and values.
